I appreciated this hotel, it was fairly clean and spectacular. The staff members were very very nice and affable. The property was situated in the remote location in the lower garden. I tried some drinks at restaurant Bar il Ciliegio, located 10 minutes walk away...

The Perfect Base: We stayed at this charming historic home nestled at the foot of the southern Highlands. The location was fantastic, allowing us to explore the scenic surroundings easily.
Limited Accessibility to Richard Pearse: The only downside was the distance to Richard Pearse, which was a bit inconvenient.

Our stay at the homestead was mind-blowing! Mary and Francis were incredible hosts, going above and beyond to ensure we had a super comfortable stay. The old house had a jaw-dropping charm and staying there was a unique experience. The location was perfect for stargazing and the breakfast served in the sunny conservatory was absolutely delicious. The property grounds were beautifully maintained and the welcome from the pets was heartwarming. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi, off-site car park, and outdoor dining area. our stay was unforgettable and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and delightful retreat.

The rooms at Waikonini Homestead have a lovely garden view, making you feel relaxed and at peace. The twin room has a cozy seating area, perfect for chilling out after a long day of exploring. The house is surrounded by lush farmland, giving it a peaceful and picturesque setting.
Personally, I would have preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one, but that's just my preference.

The bush walks were incredible, with lush greenery and crystal clear streams. The kids had a blast exploring the trails, and we even spotted a few native birds along the way. It was a perfect opportunity for our family to connect with nature and enjoy some quality time together.
For dads, it would be great if there were more activities specifically designed for kids.

I recently stayed at the charming and beautifully maintained Waikonini Homestead for a few nights. The original features of the house were impressive, and the extra touches like fresh linen napkins at meal times added a special touch. The owner was friendly and accommodating, offering tea upon arrival and making drinks on request. I appreciated the delicious home-cooked meals, as well as the owner's helpful suggestions on local activities and attractions. The breakfast and the hospitality provided by the host made my stay enjoyable.
Totally recommend this hotel.

An Exceptional Venue. The highlight of our stay was the magnificent hung staircase in the interior. It was like stepping into a fairytale castle, with the grandeur and charm of a bygone era. The staircase was a real showstopper, making us feel like royalty as we ascended its steps.

Escape the hustle and bustle of busy tourist spots and retreat to this peaceful homestead nestled in the beautiful mountains. the location offers a serene setting, away from the noise and crowds, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. the house itself is a Victorian masterpiece, meticulously maintained by the lovely host Mary. the garden is a sight to behold, filled with beautiful flowers, creating a magical atmosphere. the rooms are clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable stay. Breakfast may be basic, but the homely atmosphere and opportunity to chat with other guests make up for it.
Beware of the challenge in locating the homestead at night, as it can be quite dark, but with the use of GPS, finding it shouldn't be a problem.
